ah. okay, raising the CPU voltage is most effective for overclocking when the CPU gets unstable and is at high temperatures. As you cool the CPU more, it becomes more stable, and you don't necessarily need the higher voltage. If your computer remains stable at the lower voltage, keep it there because it will prolong the life of the CPU.
