Prometeia is a bit more powerful than the VapoChill.
You can also switch to a more r404a rich gas mix for that "extra freeze power".

It also has a better mounting block, better isolation (thus less need for grease or sealants, and it's bit more efficient at it, as far as i know. Or, you can try a Kryo (which is good too), but personally, i wouldnt go for the Vapo.

The point of having a heating element is to keep the processor from dropping temps too fast at start. It can damage the core if it does.
