I have that res and I did crack the casing so it is indeed a risk... (quickly replaced) but that WAS becasue I was over tightening the brass barbs... but other than that I am satified the way this res turned out... you just have to find a way to mount it so you don't get turbulence.

I feel safer knowing my hoses are on brass barbs for some reason... don't ask me why. though I will be putting spiral clamps on and brass will be able to take the preasure better.

You choice at the end of the day though.
