Would a conversion to the new A64 bp + adapter plate be necessary ?

I know the current "hump" on the MCW5002 measures 37x36.5mm and the IHS of the A64 measures 37.5x37.5mm.

I'm thinking the best scenario would be to just pop the IHS off and not worry about that small 1mm of difference nad it would cool a lot better.

Just curious as to whethere there would be terribly detrimental effects running it as such using a stock MCW5002 and a DIYed adapter plate.
