although i have not removed my IHS yet my system reported the same temps with a cathar cascade and my diy cascade.

i know my diy cascade is 2C lower temps than a maze 3 so the cascade should be st least 5 lower than it reports.

i have a thermocouple on the side of the IHS and that gives me 6C lower with the cathar cascade than my diy version.

it looks like some motherboars calculate the cpu temps based on cpu speed , core volts and system temp.
