Secondly, a 42" plasma will be unable to give you the kind of big screen gaming action you're obviously looking for. I have installed them in 8 homes, and the refresh rates, native resolution, aspect ratio, are not conductive to PC work, whether gaming or otherwise. the going retail for that kind of display device is $3500.00 for a basic model, which will be unable to display anything above 852x480 progressive res at 16:9 aspect ration(640x480 in computer resolution). If you want flexibility and size, a far longer lifespan, and better value for that kind of cash, go with a ceiling-mounted projector and a motorized screen. The screen rolls up, out of the way when not in use, you can size it as big or small as you want. How about a 300" screen? That translates to (freakin' math) 25ft maximum size. No kidding. Do yourself a favor, and just go look at DLP projectors. Stay away from LCD units, as they do not do motion any better than a 15"LCD monitor. I apologize for the sales pitch, but I know how money can burn a hole in your pocket. While I never had $40.000 doing the china syndrome thing in my wallet, I can understand the flush of having money once in a while. Seriously, I'm glad you chose not to impulse buy all this stuff, having read the whole thread. You would've been real unhappy in a couple months. If you're at all interested in setting up some kind of integrated computer/home theater, email me, and I'll give you some pointers. I've been there too.

Gf4 ti 4200 or any other than not the new FX line does not have directx9 hardware support. That's diferent.
I do agree on the screen thouth. A LCD is not worth it.
I would go for a sony wd900.
