Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for more than just an output display.... I've been trying to find a good fan control unit, and was hoping that this might have the ability to be made into one. It doesn't look like it could be.

I'm looking for something that gives me OS independent control, (I.E. a specialized microcontroller) with a display. There were a couple of folks building this type of unit over on SPCR, but one fell through, and the other doesn't have the functionality I want.

A DD5 is sort of close to what I'm after, except that it only turns the fans on and off. I want a graduated speed control so that the fans can run at extremely slow / silent speeds most of the time, but automatically turn themselves up if the use demands it.

Gooserider __________________ Designing system, will have Tyan S2468UGN Dual Athlon MOBO, SCSI HDDS, other goodies. Will run LINUX only. Want to have silent running, minimal fans, and water cooled. Probably not OC'c
