Once upon a time I did. Then they started selling overpriced and broken products and lying to the customer base about them. They haven't had a good and competitive product line since around the GF3/4 era, not that you'd hear that from them. On the flipside, where I used to dislike the problems with ATi's drivers (playing GTA3 in the fog, for example), they have been polished to near perfection in recent editions. While their spin has been impressive and the NVidiots have cried foul as loud as they can, nothing can overcome the fact that NVidia has been repeatedly lying and cheating to give their cards a semblance of competitiveness, when in actuality they are vastly inferior to ATi's offering except in high resolution 2D imaging (which is a realm better suited to professional cards anyway).

The only place I would even consider recommending a NVidia card is if you were going to run your computer exclusively in Linux, since their driver support is much better than ATi's. Otherwise it is a foolish purchase regardless of where on the product scale you are looking (excepting those that need Pixel Shader 2.0 and only have $100 to spend ... oh, oops, the 9600 does that too ... nm).
