edit: the "Plastic Welder" managed to soften up the plastic, but didn't have a chemical reaction with it. There might be some "soft" component to this plastic. A cyanoacrylate glue may work better.
Update: the cyano-acrylate glue ("Super Glue" tm) worked perfectly.
