PTS i know people will scream at me for this one, but please understand my reasoning first. I dont want this guy to get discouraged by a small mishap. I do want him to watercool now that he bought all this stuff and invested all that money so here it comes:
you should call up intel and RMA the proc. (i know its a bad thing to do but in this case i would allow it)
From personal experience i had a 1.6A fry on my because of a bad power supply, the store refused to pay for the proc even though they aknowledged that it was a bad PSU. so i RMAed the proc to INTEL. I know it wasnt INTEL's fault but i was in a really bad mood and was being screwed by the store.
