I've been away a while. Life seems to get in the way. But, I just ordered my a64 setup (should get here today!!!!
). a64 3200+, chaintech znf3-150. I got the chaintech because it still has the 4 mounting holes around the cpu socket. I want to watercool this bad boy. This is the stuff I have: maze3, BI Extreme, Danner Mag5, 1/2 in all the way around. Has anybody actually tried doing this? I searched around the forum but no one seems to have actually tried it.
I guess I have a few questions:
Has anyone tried it yet?
I read somewhere that it requires 75lbs of pressure on the IHS. Can you get that with the screws in the mounting holes? I don't think I have the balls to try to remove the IHS from my $400 proc just yet.
Any suggestions, opinions are appreciated.
