Ya - while I had the system drained I swapped the fill-tube for a piece from my old system, so now I have a piece of ClearFlex that I can test cleaning solutions on. After a bit more time to see if there are any more replies I'll be testing some cleaning solutions on it and then based on those results flushing the system again.

Also, the Sodium Metabisulfate has now been running in the system for about 24 hours - can't really report much on it yet. So far I can still see no negative effects on the tubing or inside of the plexi-top blocks (no idea if its effecting the rad, but if copper is ok brass should be). It may be cleaning the white stuff off the tubing, I'm not sure. I am pretty sure it killed everything and anything inside there by now, so its possible that without new growth to sustain it the existing white stuff is slowly dissolving.
