Performace has been great. I have 2 120mm fans under the rad, so cooling in kinda overkill. I got the 2400+ up to 2313 and it Folds all day long at 40-42c.
I think you will have enough room for a DVDRW. Replacing the ICE with that small rad should be fine. You can see in the pics that the 3/8 tubing just rests against the HD. You should be fine for spacing. Definately tight, but it should all fit.
The cracking was probably due more to my impatiance than anything else. I'm sure someone with more experience with acrylic can do this. I'm just not willing to try again right now. With my rad how it is, I can't use the fill hole as a return, but that might be an option for you. You can just block off the return barb and use the fill cap instead.
