I know I am blowing the dust off an old post here, but unfortuniatly when it was posted I was in the middle of sustained combat ops and didn't have anything in the way of internet access.
I must say, N8 that is an very impressive waterblock, and saying it was conceptualized, designed, and created in one week! My hat is off to you sir. I find myself wishing I had access to some type of mill and drill press when I get home but sadly I do not. Odds are I will not be able to convince my wife to let me spend bucu cash on something like that either. The feeling of self accomplishment that must come with pulling something like this off must be very nice. I do really like the exterior design of this block though perhaps with a thinner Cu plate, some type of center plexi nozzle plate, and with some tweaking to the internals it is just what I am looking for. Still the simplicity and effectivness of the internals is to be admired. I remember you mentioning your job requires you to create very flat surfaces for some type of impact testing, sounds cool, and I must say that your hand lapping skills are without reproach. Alright I'll shut up, nice job N8 you made my day with this read.
