Res issues.
I'm having a couple of problems with my res. It's a rectangular Al tank, about 9"x5"x3". The inlet/outlet are in one of the short walls.
First problem - I have to run with a lid on because the incoming water jets right across the tank and hit's the back wall which makes it spray up and out. It also makes it quite noisy with the sound of sloshing water (that's the main issue, I tend to run sealed anyway).
Second problem - the pump sucks on the outlet with enough pressure to cause small vortexes to form in the tank which then suck a small amount of air into the tubing.
So any suggestions on modifications I can make to the tank or maybe even a new tank design which doesn't suffer from these issues?
