Default WTF, p4 temps?

So...I installed my new 3gHz P4C yesterday, with a Termalright 947-U (using a 32 cfm antec fan and arctic silver 5)

So i installed XP, yada yada, and dowloaded MBM5.

This is where the fun starts. On installation, my motherboard (D865GBF, yes it sucks, but i got the proc and mobo together for $200) wasnt on the list of MBM's motherboards. I just selected D865Perl, which uses a slightly different chipset, and it seemed to work, reading an idle temp of around 34-35 C.

So I left the folding client on (for the proCooling team o'course) and after a few hours...the high temp alarm went off. My CPU had apparently heated to...51 Degrees C? And my case temp was close to 32. WTF?

Now does this sound right to you guys? The air coming out of the blowhole fan isn't as hot as I would expect (ie not as hot as my AMD board that ran at 26-27 degrees C case temp)

Any input is apreciated!
