Freon cooled
and isn't that convenient! Just as I get in a thread about Freon, I notice that I'm "Freon cooled"... Doh!
I think I'd rather be "Supercooled"... |

What up with freon?
Thinking of dumping the stuff directly into your case for a "super" cool system?

Freon cooled as in:
I take a refrigiration unit with freon in it, and use it to cool.

Well I could take that one step further (and be a wise a$$ at the same time) and say....
"Take a refregeration unit out of a supermarket freezer and turn your computer into a solid block of ice." But really, what did you have in mind exactly?

I've been reading up on refrigeration, and it seems that Freon, aka R-12 is not something that one can buy, unless they are licensed.
These all require a license to purchase: R-12 FREON, R-22, R-502, R-404A, R-406A So I can't be "Freon Cooled", it's not legal! (USA) But I can be "The Theoretical Cooler" ! |

I'm number 5!!!
I am now #5 on the top 20 posters, tied with some guy named Cyco-Dude I wanna be "The Theoretical Cooler", since I have yet to actually build a water cooled system! PS: I've since made it to Liquid Helium Frozen. Last edited by bigben2k; 07-08-2002 at 09:42 PM. |

Thanks, I think I deserve a custom description, something different than "Liquid Helium Cooled", so I guess I'm gonna have to do something to get someone's attention... I'll have to look again at what ECUpirate did!

Hey BigBen2k,
I've still got a can of R12 at the house. It's from the days when you could buy them to recharge your car's AC. I keep it handy for a soft serve ice cream machine that I picked up at an auction. Makes the best brandy slushes I've ever found. Probably make a heckuva PC cooler, but the slushes are more important. PS: Check you PMs. |

All right...
Here it is... I want to be "The Theoretical Cooler ", instead of "Liquid Helium Frozen". To get someone's attention, I'm going to suggest that we all e-mail Brad here, unless someone comes up with a better idea. |
