How can I save over 3gig of mp3s
I am replaceing my son's mobo and Cpuand hard drive. He has over 3gig of mp3s and does not want to lose them. Any suggestions would be a big help. I have a cd burner but it would take a lot of cds and time and he wants them on a hard drive.

Install everything on the new hdd, while leaving the old hdd alone. Once its all set up, install the old hdd in the puter. Now copy over all his mp3s.

Just install the hd as slave to the new hd. you can keep the mp3's on the old drive and delete everything else on it.

Thanks guys I will use the hard drive as a slave and clear everything off it so he can use it just for his MP3 collection.I am using an Abit KR7-Rad board with two 41gig IBM GXPs in raid o config on IDE 3&4. can I put his seagate 17.3gig on IDE 1 or 2 as a masterand have it work?

use partition magic and put all the stuff u want to save on the second partition then u can format C: and install any OS while all the data on D: stays put.
