Default JPG file security/attributes issue

I am constantly having to change the ownership of some JPG image files on the Snap 520 in order to change the attribute from read-only so users can access the images. This does not happen all the time and not to all images on the Snap server.

In the past i figured out that this happens when a user copies images from their directly attached digital camera on their computer to the server. So i have them copy the images off the camera to their computer and then copy the images from their computer to the Snap 520.

I am wondering if other Snap users have this issue and if so how did they resolve it. I'm running Gaurdian OS version 4.2.054 on my Snap 520.
