which is the -12VDC leg, pin 6 "+12V DC RETURN" ?

what is pin 4 ?
the text is Hungarian

pins 3 and 5 are open (none) = "semmi" ?

Pin 6 looks to be the ground pin, no idea what pin 4 is.

A quick translator check on pin 4 reveals it says motor (variable) feed, I'm not entirely sure what that means for a pump - maybe it has some sort of speed varying circuitry on-board?

The return is indeed the ground. Semmi is not connected.

Comair-Rotron fans have similar connections, FWIW.

Maybe #4 is a lower speed start winding. My AC tablesaw motor has that, with a capacitor, but the "tacho" is just a centrifugal DP switch. You could google pump control circuits - see what they can do. You're missing the controller.

For sure the best use of speed control in a pump is at startup torque.
