Need help with R9700Pro and cooling

OK, im going to attach either a socket 370 intel retail HS+fan or an AMD 1700+ tbredB retail HS+fan to my radeon 9700 pro (also some custom made heatsinks for the ram-modules but more on that when i get them). I was wondering if anyone of u have the specifications for the mountingholes and the clear area around the GPU. Oh and diameter for screws to use would also be veeeery appreciated.

Over and out

/HMB

For the holes, just remove the stock hsf and use it as a template. Lay it on the hsf and simply mark the holes.

If it were me, I'd get a copper 1u hsf (used in laptops and rack-mount systems because it's so short. With a fan, they cool much better than the stock hsf.
The best I can tell you on the size of the screws is "small".

I know that the screw holes will only accept a #4 screw. I know this because it is damn hard to find a 4-32 screw that is 2 inches long!

That shouldn't be a problem. Buy a rod and cut it to size. If you want you can solder a nut to it so that it's a nutscrew (don't know the word in english)

I think I like "nutscrew" better.
