I got to spend eight consecutive hours at my computer with hard eggnog, rum and coke, and screwdriver after screwdriver. AC2 is so much more entertaining when you're thrashed, though it does hurt your in-game life expectancy. I did notice after a while that it didn't even bother me when I died ... it was another excuse to have another shot of Russia's finest and try again, *hic*.
Then it was back to the hide-a-bed (pulled out) with the missus watching LOTR and The Matrix while drinking more of the aforementioned intoxicants. By 10PM I was so sloppy I could barely crawl (we went through 1 bottle of Pennsylvania Dutch [yum], 1 fifth of Smirnoff's finest, and most of a bottle of Barcardi Gold [should have stayed with the aged shite ... yech!]). Jeebers do I have a hangover!

I must have been naughty this year: got PJ's, a couple of shirts, a bottle of cologne, and a matching set of watch and sunglasses (which I can't wear). On the other hand, Daddyo came through with a nice check, which will turn into PC goodness.
The biggest gift we got though, was having the kids come home early from their dad's, on Christmas day. It made everything OK again... |

I got a 10 inch drill press, a mortice jig, a set if Titanium drill bits (the real ones not the coated ones.) A pocket blow torch. Food, beer, gas, the runs, a busted RAID, a paniced customer, more snow, a half mile slide down a mountain sideways in the truck, an answered prayered, a test of a Mauser (still works) a Tow job a lecture, a shredded arm from an unhappy cat, a goodnight kiss from my wife that said mü.
I enjoyed every Minute too.

Personally, I dont want anyone to buy me computer stuff for Christmas.
Reason? I will get CRAP!!!!! Last time I got something computer related for Christmas, I got a 24x CDROM drive (when it was "in") and that thing was the cheapest POS that Staples has on sale. I would much rather get MONEY and got get the stuff myself At least the OfficeDepot gift that I got is useful BUT my Epox 8DRA+ and the LSI RAID adapter that I am bidding on will hold me over.

I loved playing a PK guy. Killing n00bs was one of the only things I missed about that game, since that was the only attraction that game held. After that got old, I cancelled my account, though I gave away my castle and phat l3wt first, as well as my PK'rs pet dragon.

airspirit , EA is killing the game.. You can't loot your PK Kills in Fel dungeons anymore , if anyone dies in a fel dungeon they keep all of their stuff hahaha it sux,,... Also your castle could have gotten you like 1500 bux on ebay a few months ago , and now maybe 800 , prices are going down and down , since EA's take over.. ahhhhhhhh i hate progression , cuz it ussually means less killing of newbs.. --bikr

Wasn't fel the place where if you were stupid enough to go there unprepared you got what was coming to you? What is the virtual world coming to!?!?!?!?!?
I had a guild/cult following, and decided to give it to my loyal subjects out of sheer benevolence (and being to lazy to do otherwise). I figure if they put up with me this long, they deserve something out of it.

yah it was just one place in the beginning , then they released newbie land to help deal with all the killings going on , and the new lands were safe, and called Trammel , Fel was desserted by most , even the hardcore pks left because there was noone to kill. Then OSI decided to bring people back to FEL by making champion spawns in the dungeons of FEL.. people started going back but reds would PK you there and have people waiting to loot your body. and recall out.. OSI got smart and said ok no recalling or gating in or out of FEL dungeons anymore.. Then they said no more looting bodies of blue players in dungeons , if you die and your red/grey you keep half of your stuff.. blue you keep all of it.. --bikr

so heres a pic of the elcheaop TV/Home Theater setup I picked up yesterday. I think the total for both was like 500$. Just wanted something, since I havent owned a TV in like 4 years, just have been using a computer with a 19" flat tube monitor as my TV with a Matrox Marvel card in it. The TV is a pretty nice 27" JVC ( best quality for the money that I could find), and the home theater is A Magnovox. Think it cost under 250. It had Component video out and thats mainly what I wanted since the TV has Component video in. Also.. since I am in an apartment I didnt need anything too loud ( I dont like pissing off my neighbors). The quality of the sound is suprising for the cost of the system.
I am cleaning my apt today so most of the stuff around the TV is going away Also I think my out of pocket on this was under 300$ .. got some nice Gift Certs and such

I'm sure you know, and it looks like you are at a temp setup, but just in case...
You'll get much better sound out of that HTIB with propper placement. i.e. get the sub off the rack shelf, mount you satilites at a better listening level (same with the center chanel). I use the same type of system, (bottom end Sony though, Costco demo clearance) in the bedroom. I was able to tweek some decent sound out of it once I laid out the speakers properly. It's not as loud as the living room, nor does the sub shake the room in the slightest, but the imagry is there.

putting the sub on the floor adds issues... I am in an apartment.. people live below me.
And this is just a temp setup... for the next year. Then I am going to go to a nice 16:9 HD Projection TV, and something along the lines as a high end Sony HT setup. I am getting 4 stands for the sat's today. so I can have them positioned better around the room.

sub Berber carpet square glue to (brushed evenly) 1/2 in mdf glue and screwed to a post of some sort. (I used an 4in log I cleaned off and stained. It went with my decor. ) Glue & screwed to a base the same size as the top plate. 5 metal cones (points toward the floor carpet) You could probably use screws instead of cones. The cool thing is now that I have a house, it makes a cool plant stand.
