watercooling startkit

Are there any start kit's that has everything you need, works o.k. and doesn't cost to much? would be nice if the kit is sold by a large internet shop that has international shipping. I have looked at thermaltake aquarius II, but after reading some comments on it by people who has it, I have choosen to not buy it. Right now I can get Danger Den III Cpu block, eheim 1048 and a black ice pro for 203$ + 17$ shipping cost. If anyone knows of a good&cheap start kit or anything, please tell me.......

you'll get a "good" starting kit for around $200 at DangerDen like you mentioned. When D-Tek will update their "flowmaster" kits you'll get "good" stuff (the best currently IMHO) for around $200 i guess. A Swiftech kit will lead you to similar prices. Innovatek kit is slightly more expensive (even in Europe). Try the 'articles' section on that site to see a few reviews of pre-mounted kits...

Even with a starter kit, one has to still cut holes in case, cut tubing to fit, and install everything. So I don't see the big advantage over ordering the exact parts that one wants. The potential exists for a kit's parts to be matched and tuned for performance. Regrettably, that is often not the case.

i agree. you should go to dtek and buy some of their stuff its good. for example, you could get the cooler combo (HC + shroud), eheim 1250 and the TC4 for under 200$ and that might be better than any prebuilt kit you will find.

I can get a eheim 1048 for 50$ from germany. Then I need a socket a block & a small radiator (like black ice pro). Problem is, like the black edge waterblock, has a really crappy plexi thing that's going to hold the block still. Well it doesn't work so good. And the black ice pro is quite cheap. Anyway, for those who read my talk about making a own block, my friend Paul finally got time over and has started. Thing is, this is our first time around, so it might get crappy. Biggest problem is the shipping, it's quite expensive all over the u.s. and europe, at least the websites I have been checking. Some u.s. take like 20$ for the shipping....

A Via Aqua 1300 will cost like $20. A good block around $50. 10-12 feet (just in case) of 1/2" ID Tubing (Much <3 for Clearflex), around $20. A '92 Camaro heatercore, some 1/2" OD hose barbs, and JB Weld, about $25. All in all, that's under $100 for the setup (if you already have a 120mm fan). If you have a can of spray paint and some card board, you can give the heatercore and a paintjob and rig yourself a fan shroud.

I have the same basic case (Actually it's the midtower Chieftec Dragon, but the layout is the same, minus the 5¼ bays), and I got a '92 Camaro HC earlier this week and it fits perfectly, although it's a tight squeeze. The only thing is that you have to ditch the bottom 3½ drive cage and drill out the holder. You'd probably be better off with the heatercore than with the black ice extreme, and you'll save $20 in the process.

Then just go to www.heatercore4u.com and look at their cores to find one of the size you'd like. They have Saabs and Volvos and Toyotas there. I believe that Cathar puts together wcing radiators from older Toyota hcs.

Actually, I was on the lookout for an 80s 2WD Toyota pickup HC, those really caught my eye. Try one of those, they're pretty small, but not tiny. I dunno about where you're at, but they costed close to $50 here.
