Heatsink/ Heat Pipe / ThermoSiphon Cooling The cat will only make the mistake of putting its paw by your HSF once. :) Also the place to discuss the new high end heat pipe goodness. |

60 watt fan controller
I have a pair of Delta TFB fans rated at 12v 2.45 amps each. I would like to use my Enermax UC-A8FATR4 Ultimate Fan Controller for them.
I'm wondering if a simple heatsink on the MOSFETS will let them deal with more current, or should I use a light dimmer switch instead? I wasn't able to find any current rating on that fan controller. |

Probably have to use a rheostat. I doubt that controller will handle much over 15watts. Can you see the information on the mosfets them selfs? You can look up those numbers and see what they can handle.

I got the fans in the mail today, I was wrong, they are 2.95 amps each. I ran them at five volts and they are still louder than my other 120's at max. So much for cool and quiet!
I'll probably replace the transistors in my fan controller with some TP120's I got from radio shack and add some heatsinks to them. Thanks for your help. |
