I just put my system back together after a catastrophic crash claiming hte life of my asus a7n8x deluxe and ati 9800pro. I just got my abit nf7-s (kicks a7n8x butt) , and I got my amd xpm chip oced. Its running at 2.8ghz at 1.95 volts at the moment. With the fans up (around 30 to 35db) my idle temp is 102 and load temp varies between 109 and 111. I was curious if you guys think these are good temps for what speed i have the system at. For reference, with my slk800 this cpu would max at 2.6ghz at 1.75 volts and would idle at 113 and load at 127.
Thanks for any input. My full system specs are in sig if ur curious what exactly i have cooling this thing.

Temps are from MBM or the BIOS right? I mean it seems very nice, but it's not terribly accurate.
I'm more curious about the "catastrophic crash" as I'm about to pick up the Asus mobo. |

The temps are from mbm. You cant get load temps in bios. lol.
As far as the crash goes. It was from a criticool pci relay for my pump. It shorted (i think) or was dammaged in some way so that it put 120volts into the pc bus killing the mobo and video card. the video card seems to run off of the same 3.3v power rail. but the mobo itself is great. It has tons of features and is just overal a great board. But i have to tell you that i like the abit better. For overclocking it beats the he!! out of hte asus. The features for ocing are just insane on this mobo. The a7n8x wasnt ever designed to be an overclocker. Atleast not from what i got from it. Even though i did absolutely lover my a7n8x till the day it died, the abit beats it hands down. The only annoying part is that you get only 2 usb on the back panel. and 4 if u install hte pci braket. The asus u can have 6 in the back. Actually though I think i have my asus pci bracket for the usb still. I can install that andget the other 2 usb that abit decided to have setup for the front . But anyway, like i said the abit ending up being a better board for me.

Im using the D26 Black Mantaray L12. I havnt noticed much in the way of changes so far, but thats becasue i havnt oced the fsb yet. As far as the temp accuracy goes, I didnt see any change between bios flashes.
