Default F/S - Xbox v1.0 w/ 40gig harddrive (modded)

Ok.. Here goes.

For sale, is a modded 1.0 xbox. with a 40gig harddrive added. The box has an X-Lite with x-chip o/s installed. It also has m8 bios flashed to another bank. (Hold yellow button while booting to boot m

This box is also softmodded giving you an out if you totally fry the chip. The chip has a built in recovery mode, and the switch panel has been mounted under the front bezel and looks pretty sweet.

The dvd drive is a thompson and is kinda flakey so FTP is your best bet with getting games onto the harddrive.

If you're interested , let me know.

Q/A

Q: Does this xbox play backups?
A: Yes 100% ntcs, pal , makes no difference.

Q: Can I install linux?
A: I'll install it for you if you so desire, but yes you can.

Q: Does the bios have the eject fix
A: Yes, however, the dvd drive is flakey and ftp is your best bet for game transfer

Any more questions , post here or PM / Email / Aim me.

I was talking to a friend today and it seems that bikr has quoted a really decent price. Even $200 is a fair price. It's too rich for my blood right now, but it certainly would be on my list if I had the spare cash.

Thanks, bikr.

problem is, I can get used xboxes with controllers locally for $125, spend $25 on a HDD, $35 on a modchip, and have a full system for $185

the one he's selling has no controller, for $175. the controller won't be $10 either
