Well I dont know if anyone here remembers me...but I was on here pretty activitly a while ago. I had this here system:
![]() wasnt much, but it got the job done ![]() I disassembled the whole thing after my Hydor broke an O ring during a block change. I went to air and that sucked for a long time...I eventually just pulled my computer out of that case and set it on my desk, as the case had fallen into disrepair, and bought a really nice air heatsink (TT silent boost). its quiet and works. but I have a habit of tinkering with things that work ![]() I brought my Maze4 back from my apartment at school but forgot my dual core rad. I will be emailing my roommate whose still there asking him to send it to me. I think I want to do something stupid like get back into this ![]() How are things on the scene? I see the WW's at Dtek are cheaper than TDX's, to me thats just crazy. I also got a 1333 Athlon and board from a friend, I'm thinking of doing a ghetto mod. As in <$30, cokecan block, etc etc. Anyone do this, any tips? I still have to find the how-to so I can make the block. Nice to be back ![]()

So welcome back!
Major sad news is that BillA has had to stop posting (something to do with Swiftech going public), otherwise things are pretty much as they've been. Have fun tinkering - no point having something that just works when there's the possibility of making it work better - especially if you can learn something in the process. |

I know it says solder but I dont know how to solder metal together, only wires, and even then, many people have noted I'm terrible at it ![]()

Welcome back, Kronchev!
Think of soldering as acquiring a new skill; I just started cutting glass myself yesterday. ![]() |

solder isn't too terrible. I just use the "more is better" approach.
Make sure you leak test the living hell out of it.

I was hoping to build the block this weekend, but I literally have $30 in my bank account and don't get paid till next Friday, and even then, its a check the mail that will probably take till Monday to get to me :-/
I dont think I know anyone with a torch either, I'm 99% sure my parents dont have one (with them for the summer).
