Default Help the Village Idiot out please!

Alrighty, so I've been running an AMD T-Bird 1.1Gig with a Super-Orb and basically just extra case cooling via a few 80mm fans. It's kinda boring at this point. I originally bought an AMD b/c I was hoping to overclock. Even with all the fans and etc, this case and etc gets pretty hot. I think the CPU is usually running @ 92F under a decent load. Um.. oh yea, so my point of this message is that I want to get this puppy running faster! It is on an ABIT KT7 mobo, so there's my first start towards overclocking. I need advice/help on whether or not I should use peltiers or watercooling or what. It's all confusing because after reading a couple hundred message boards, all you have is 50% of people saying to do this, and the other half telling you not to!
I live in NY, so the whether gets a bit humid from time to time, however I always have the AC going and so thats not a big problem I dont think. Please help with any info as it will be greatly appreciated.

just use plain water cooling.
a DD maze2, 250gph pump, and some good radiator.

you won't get much OC out of that MB.
110, 115 FSB is all you'll get.

you need the kt7A.

The 1.1Ghz Athlon should be unlocked. I can't remember if they all are. If not you can connect the L1 bridges and unlock it. This will let you change the multiplier of the chip. Then the overclock will be limited by the chip, not the mainboard. You want to get the FSB up as high as it will go first though, as this will give you the best performance. Probably only 110 or so like the previous poster stated. If you feel like upgrading the mainboard, the KT7A will give better numbers. but not all that much, probably not worth the hassle the KT7 is a good board.

Alright thanks for the info. Um.. yea, I think that I got the FSB upto 115 if I remember correctly. Like 106/xxMhz on selection and then the FSB Plus I added 9. Ya know, I am actually kinda dissapointed with this Mobo. I'm thinking of returning possibly because it just isn't living up to what I thought it would be. Any suggestions on a better/newer Mobo. I'm pretty familiar with the ABIT mobo's and etc. And actually, if I got a new motherboard I'd probably goto a SDRAM DDR capable one. Is it worth it? Also-- as far as unlocking the L1 bridges. Alright, I did the pencil trick (a harder graphite pencil from an arts store) but I think it's workin off and on. Sometimes on startup it will say the new multiplier # such as 11.5,12, 12.5 and etc. But sometimes regardless of what it is set on, it just says 11. Very confusing. Thinking of just cleaning off the L1 bridges and using a connection pen or etc.

Geez, I forgot one last question.. With overclocking and etc, of course that means more juice through the chip which in turn means more heat. Heat = bad, evil. So.. what is the right thinking for increasing the core voltage and the I/O voltage?
