hello, I am using a t-bird that will sometimes to 1.5gig(crappy radiator). Anyways, I want more, so I'm considdering a big mama for a radiator upgrade(should be good for a while). But will I need a voltage mod to take full advantage of the pelt? I run 1.85v 1500mhz on a day when the room temp is around 60 with this rad. I thought I remembered reading years ago the voltage increase was used to cope with the increased ammount of heat, is this true? I don't really wanna vmod my 8kta3 quite yet but I do want a 172w pelt.

I'm sorry but I couldn't understand that at all. First you're talking about a radiator, then the power to the cpu, then the peltier. Could you state your question more clearly?

oh, I was just stating that I am going to upgrade my radiator and get a pelt. And I wanna know if I will need to vmod by board to get the full potential of the peltier(eg. more overclockin) because I was told raising the voltage is only used to compensate for high temps to make the processor stable.

ah. okay, raising the CPU voltage is most effective for overclocking when the CPU gets unstable and is at high temperatures. As you cool the CPU more, it becomes more stable, and you don't necessarily need the higher voltage. If your computer remains stable at the lower voltage, keep it there because it will prolong the life of the CPU.

Yeah the vmod is pretty important. I'd say it is more important to do the vmod and upgrade your radiator than go for the peltier. Peltiers are quite the pain too...
