Default Chillers???

Ok, what is up with this...http://data-detective.com/overclock/chillers.html

Everthing I have read on chillers says it does not work. Is this corect or is this page correct?

What I want to do is a closed loop on the CPU with a cooling block running back to this chiller and back to the cpu using an inline pump. In the chiller I want to put 3 156 watt peltiers. I'll figure out how to power them once I get an answer to the original question on whether chiller work. Then on the hot side I will have it going to two big radiators not sure which ones yet and then on to a reservoir and inline pump.

Here is a diagram:

->--->-->- ->->-big radiator 1-->--

CPU Chiller big radiator 2

--<--<--<- -<-Pump-<-reservoir-<---

Think this would work? Not cheap but fun

imo it works as long as you can keep the water in the block long enough to chilled.
I also wanted to try just this same thing, but in smaller scale. Just to get the water down to perhaps 20-25C.

btw, you play UT (instaGIB) on swedish servers? Your nick is very familiar.

Chip does his differently. He recirculates the water through the chiller blocks. He doesn't use them as a single pass chiller.

HAVOC:

Check this one out...
http://www.octools.com/forum/cgi-bin...&num=997644689

Just two 80W 8A High Clamping pressure on a Intel CPU = 8C - A peltier Sandwich
- About right for T-Bird OC'ed.

As you can see when Primary side is below ambient, no primary side Radiator is required.

Cheers Amy -
