people have been using office water coolers for a while now.

about the price, you can get a thermostat, compressor, rad, all filled up and working from many refridgeration shops for much cheaper than that

Click here for a direct link to the company that makes the freezer. They also make a tower that has this cooling system built into the tower.

I saw that a few days ago. What a joke, they really need to do something about that price.

that is a nice freezer, but a little expensive. I would like to see insstructions on how to make my own. It would prolly be a lot cheaper if you DIY.

As for the watercooling thing, its great, but i hate it when people just post up pics, and no write up. I would like to know what he used specificly, how efective it was, etc..

Interesting, though expensive. I wonder how much the individual part would come out to in a setup like this and if they would be available to someone without a HVAC cert.

One thing I read about that fridge, would keep me from buying it if I were in the market for it. Apparently it's from a couple ex-Vapochill guys, who stole the design and started making there own.(makes sense, just by looking at it)

I guess there's a legal battle brewing, and this thing won't (shouldn't) be around for long. On top of the moral issue, if these guys aren't gonna be in business long, neither is the warranty.

Hey! Watch your mouth mkosem! My article has been submitted to Joe for quite some time now and is awaiting other people to finish their part.

Remember though... there won't be much new in there if you've already got something close to an HVAC cert. My portion (phase change) is about how it works, some bits about how to design a new system, and some bits about how to put it together and tweak it. If you want someone with loads of experience, Steve Foster is the master. This article was supposed to get your feet wet so you know where to go, not give you a step by step (with part numbers) on how to build a $5 phase change cooler in one afternoon!

I'm not going to ruin all of the surprise! Besides, you should read up on what Joe has already said on the front page. It is more than one author working on different aspects of .... stuff.
