would having one power supply power your mobo, and the other power supply power all your drives cause any problems?
the fact that the 2 are connected via ide cables might cause some problems because you would be crossing the circuits of the power supplies through the voltage that runs through the cable. if anyone knows please help me out. thanks |

I used to run 2 atx supplies. I ran some drives on each, and my mobo off one. I never had a problem.

I'd just have one with the stronger 5v rail powering the mobo and the other one doing all the drives, it's a bit safer in my opinion
