Today at scool i was at the vending machine, planning to get my daily bag of Sun Chips. But today, i saw a Moon pie in the lowest row. The 75cent row. I remember hearing of a moon pie in movies and on TV, but i have never seen one in real life, so i decided to take the leap and forgo my daily chips in favor of a moon pie.
As soon as i opened it, i was reminded of a Big Mac from McDonalds. For those who may not know, a moon pie is a double decker "sandwitch" with grahm crackers and a marshmallow like compound. This is all covered with a brownis-tan(sorta the color of Diahrea mixed with milk) mystery compound similar to the hard candy coat on an m&m, but softer. It was pretty good, but i do have one question. Maybee all the moon pie veterans can answer this. Exactly what is that brownish-tan coating that covers the pie? I checked on the moon pie site, and they claim that it is a bananna flavored coating Quote:

as a southerner I grew up with moon pies. My school even gives em away on 3/14 (Pi day 3.141592654). The coating on the cookie is there to keep it moist, it's made of corn syrup that has been cooked to a "secret" temperature to get it the right consistency. Then chocolate extract is added and it's dyed in one of three colors, brown, yellow or orange(for halloween).

Yes, but what would happen to the atoms in a Moon pie when they approach absolute zero?

I being a kinda an old ass(37). Ive eaten many Moon Pies, but I really never thought they were worth a shit(too much marshmallow stuff). I do have to say that your post reminded me of an alien 1st landing on earth and discovering moon pies for the 1st time. The innocence and ignorance in it made me smile for the 1st time in a week of shitty meetings.
