Default Heatsink for 1.4ghz athlon t-bird

Sorry for posting in here but there doesn't seem to be a lot of traffice in the other sections...

Was wondering what your opinions are on heatsink (fan cooled) for 1.4ghz socket a...

doesn't matter. Perferablly quite. I was looking at the Zalmen line.. looks tempting.

currently have a 8045 wsunon fan.
Had a DORB3 - POS for higher clocks works real good on a 300
even tried a lil coolermaster.
Personally I can stand too much noise, it interferes with audio cleanup.

Socket room huh? if there are caps in the way just take the MB to the table saw and clear cut em. while your at it get rid of the AMR slot too 'I'm a lumberjack and it's ok...'

seriously though, I can't beleive I forgot about the clearence issue, (thanks Brad) for a compatibility guide for the alpha click here

yeah, if I bought one I'd have to reroute the switch up to the front of the case. It just makes sense hehe.

if u arent gona oc..then go stock, its like 7bucks a newegg.com and ull get like 45-50c temps
