The clear/blue dye doesn't suck ass, just the fact that your silicon tube are probably purple because of water wetter...

for my uses it does cause i cant even see it thru the spir@l block and silicone tubes...if i had tygon or vinyl then the clear/blue would do nicely...but still not glow thru the Spir@l top

I'm personally not a big fan of the green color. I had planned on the clear/blue. Although from what you guys are telling me, it pretty much sucks. What about the normal blue? Is it any better?

I wouldn't suggest using bowl cleaner - corrosion and seal degradation issues are a good possibility

I too am looking at coloring my setup blue with a blue CC. Would that work or do i need to get a normal blacklight?

Ahh the next generation of H2O-ers. Dye-Lite is engineered to glow specifically under a Black Light (a.k.a. UV Light). Whilst your tubing would look like this....

...I doubt, however, that it would look like this...

Cool thanks, i like the blue one the best
the green looks pretty cool too

Where did you get, or have any suggestions where to get, those UV black lights for the blue uv light and dye? Also, what's the difference between a Cold Cathode (sp) blue light vs UV BlackLight?

you can get the dye from Case Etc.. you can get the black lights from PCmods and ZXmods.

the diff between a cold cathode flourescent light and an ultra-violet light (or blacklight as they are called) is that the CC is just color (like a regular neon, just brighter), while the UV light do not cast much light, but instead can illuminate UV reative stuff (such as dye-lite). florescent colors (neon yellow, neon orange, neon green, neon blue, etc) will also glow under a black light. a regular neon or CC cannot do this, only a blacklight can.
