Default Need comments from pro-coolers on this

Hi. Pumps are cheap where I live so I was thinking of running a 2 pump rig. I'll be making my own waterblock soon and I've come up with some simple plans. My objective is to get the most cool water in contact with the block. So this is a crappily drawn plan 1 I have here. http://www.geocities.com/shamino78/crap1.jpg
So there will be 2 inlets from pump A and B and one big outlet, maybe a 1/2 inch or bigger.
There's another design here same idea. http://www.geocities.com/shamino78/crap2.jpg
At first I thought of running the 2 pumps in a reservoir, with the water going straight to A and B respectively, then exhausting to my radiator. But then the water would not be as cool as if I had ran them thru the rad first. If I were to do this instead, http://www.geocities.com/shamino78/crap3.jpg
then it would be like using one very powerful pump. But the problem is my radiator does not have very big pipes. Its this one. http://www.ocmod.com/img/projects/jk01/7b.jpg
So I was wondering if the resistance of forcing fast ruuning water thru this thin pipe would cause any problems or major slowdown. Any comments are greatly appreciated.
Sorry I think you need to cut and paste the url for it to work.

i had the same problem, rad did not have good flow and slowed the whole thing down,i used two pumps one for the rad and one for the block and that will work.now on my next home made job i am useing the reservoir made out of large heat sinks 8x6 3 inch fins,i just tested my new 3x2x1x copper block that i made on a 1900 watt hot plate set to 400F after 30 min water temp went to 107F with no fan on the reservoir,i think it will handle my system just fine.so i have 2 pumps and no rad to slow down the flow.

Heh, yeah, I'd like to see this waterblock myself. I could start making and selli..hmm maybe I shouldn't be giving you ideas j/k.
But anyways, adding water pressure to a system will increase performance. The water will be moving faster through the radiator, even if it has thin pipes. Faster moving water will cool better.

it's made out of 8"x6" heat sinks 6 of them and has a 1000 gph and a 500 gph pumps "y" together, with 5/8 lines"no more rad or flow problems.
