I was wondering but I'm going to do it anyway:
Will a dually Asus A7M266D mobo be able to hold 2 Maze 2 blocks without cracking or something? I have all the parts here except the second block. When it gets here I'm going to hook it all up and see what kind of overclock I can get out of it. My RADs are going to be in a fridge and the pump is a Eheim 1250. |

Are you sure the board has the speed holes you need for mounting? I thought they were filled in or something. Most of the dual AMD boards don't have the holes you need.
Seeing as you already have the board, you probably already know... I'm just curious.. |

It's easy, but is it safe?

if you feel confident enough to put holes in the board then yes they'll both fit on there fine.
but I do recommend the iwill mpx2, I am getting mine tomorrow, it has: 2x quad phase power supplies compatible with EPS12v and ATX 12v 5 fan headers 100 - 250mhz fsb 4x 32bit 33mhz 2x 64bit 66mhz 1x agp pro working usb cpu vcore control memory voltage control multiplier control up to 15x proper holes for waterblocks. will fit maze2, but not swiftech mcx462 quite possibly the best motherboard yet!

The original rev of the MPX chipset *did* ship with broken USB. Arguably, it wasn't really broken, but there was a problem that was only caught right before shipping. To be safe, they (they being AMD) disabled the onboard USB and supplied a USB PCI card instead. Now, however, the problem has been fixed on the new revs of the chips, so everything is pretty much OK now, though it's new enough that telling people you got one with "fixed USB" isn't really uncommon or unreasonable. |

Don't tell me that I'm the first person to drill out the holes on this board. I haven't heard much talk about doing it but it should work fine. I am just waiting on the 2nd waterblock from cooltechnica. It should get here by tomorrow and I ordered it Monday.
![]() If the board is dead then I'll have a lot of spare components. ![]() |

You can drill out the holes in the Asus A7M266-D just fine......even Asus admits it's okay......they left the holes filled to pass RFI tests.....Several ppl are running dual Maze 2's on this board
