Default Any suggestions??

Ok, I think I am about ready to order and setup my (first) watercooling system for my upcomming (first) dual processor system that I am going to be building shortly. Here's what I am going to get for my watercooling. What do you guys think? Any problems or suggestions?

Waterblocks: (2) Maze 2's (DangerDen)
Tubing: Tygon R3603 (1/2") (either McMaster, or USPlastic)
Pump: Eheim 1250 (Dangerden)
Radiator: Black Ice Xtreme (DangerDen)
Fill & Bleed: 1/2" Tee's and Valves from a local Hardware store; and an airtrap (will be similar to Turbokeu's F&B and airtrap, unless I can find a better, more compact form. Turbokeu's setup ROCKS!! I have been very inspired by it.. I just hate to almost be copying it..)

Hmmm.. anything else I'm missing?

I'm guessing that you are fixing a dual-CPU system...

The only problem I see, is with the BIX (Black Ice Extreme). If you want to cool 2 CPUs, you'd definitely be better off with a heater core, or even a Big Momma from DTek. It's just my opinion...

You haven't mentionned which CPU? If they're Intel's, then the BIX might work just fine.

Heh, no Pentiums here, Athlon MP 1800+'s (probably), but definitely Athlon MP's... I just don't think I have the room for a heatercore... Hmmm.. Maybe I do.. I'll have to think up a way to get it in there and not look ghetto.

Simple, just cut a hole at the bottom of your (tower?) case, put the rad on top of it, and the cherry, a nice (quiet) 120mmfan.

I'm fixing to do the same, I just wish I could figure out how to put a dust filter (easily replaceable for cleaning), without ducting the thing to the front of the case.

Doh! I lost my post...

I was originally going to put the BIX above my PSU.. it should fit perfectly there... If I put the Heatercore on the bottom, then where am I going to put the Pump and Fill & Bleed?... Hmmmmmm... I have an Antec SX1240, there's nothing in it, and it's already feeling cramped!!

I guess I'm going to have to think about this more.. I definitely don't want to have to replace a $70 rad. with a $25 one that destroys my nice neat plans..

Ok, well, I've thought of a way that I could nicely stick a heatercore or a BIX in my case.. I've been reading and it seems that in these forums, people are liking heatercores from 1978 Chevy Caprice/Impala's? Well, looking at heatercore4u there is a version of the heatercore for a car with A/C or without A/C. Does it really matter very much which one to get, or is one better than the other?

Or should I go with the BIX? Like I said above, I don't want to get a BIX and end up having to replace it with a $25 heatercore... Is anyone else here running a dual MP setup with a BIX?

Oh, and are the dimensions list on heatercore4u's website accurate, or are they just listing the size of the fins without taking the in/outlet barbs into consideration?

The one I got was for a '97 chevy G10 van, $19.00
It's taller than bix but should fit in a full size tower.

the dimensions listed are just the fin surface. they do not include the tanks.
if you want decent performance at a cheap price, grab a heater core. if you want good looks and a compact form, get the BIX.

Is there any problems with using brass and chrome plated brass valves?

I decided to go with a heatercore from a '78 Caprice, and just recently got my fill & bleed system from ACE Hardware. I got brass fittings and T's but the valves are chrome and I wanted to make sure that wasn't a problem before the rest of my watercooling stuff gets here.
