Default Burner Issues

Hey guys, I can't seem to use my cd burner (ive tried various programs including nero burn and adaptec, none of which work)
I get the following error:
SCSI Taret error

anyone know what the hell that is or what i should do? I should mention, that my cd writer is NOT SCSI in the first place=)

Thanks, IvAn

in nero try going to the choose recorder menu.... if thats not able to fix it... it sounds like the programs you have are scsi not ide .... try downloading the demo of nero from www.nero.com .... also if you got the progs from a friend the sometimes make the software work only with the burner it came with and that could be your problem.. i hope i helped a little

Make sure that you have your burner set up correctly on the IDE bus as well.

You may even need to download the updated ASPI drivers.
Adaptec should have them located on their web site somewhere...

Also try CloneCD, it SHOULD see the drive no mater what.
