Default coldplate

I am trying to get a TC4 (if they will ship to the UK) and intend to drill / tap small holes partually into the base at the edges to fit a coldplate. I will be using a 220w tec. How thick should the coldplate be?

1/4 in. seems to be ideal. I'll see if I can find the link that stated that...

I would think that 3/8" is a better compromise between weight and heatspreading ability, from the article. I use a 6.5mm cold plate and I think the Maze2.2 uses something around that thickness too.
