My new car!!

Hey people, I just got a new (used) car. Since I spend a bit of time lurking around these forums (and a few other forums too) I thought that I would post some pics of my nice shiney car that I just bought. It's a 1993 Dodge Stealth R/T, and I LOVE it. It's sooo pretty and smooth.. Ehrm, well, anyways, here's where some of my pics are at.

HERE!

Nice car!

a friend of mine had the same year stealth as that. Fun car!

He just sold his... I would love a Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo AWD... thats just the god of all cars right there. Same with the top end Mitsu 3000GT VR4

Nice buy, but beware of being raped by service shops to work on it, thats why my friend sold his... cost too much to keep running.

Yeah.. repairs/service is one of my major concerns with the car. Luckily, my dad and I are pretty handy with cars, so a lot of minor work, I can do myself. Plus it only has about 91,000 miles on it and already had all of its maintenance done (by the dealer even! ) So, hopefully I won't have too many problems with it.

But, pretty much after I started looking into getting a 3000GT/Stealth, almost nothing else compared.. except maybe a '98+ Trans AM.. I love those too

Now that I have a car, I can get back to setting up my watercooling system for my upcomming Athlon Dually.

Nice car!!!

Looks great too...I guess a benefit of living in AZ.

Up here, a 10 year old car has seen 10 winters of road salt.

After looking at your pics, I want to go out in the driveway and kick the Jetta diesel I bought.

There's a thread around here you should be getting real familiar with soon... it's titled "Damn Speeding Ticket!"

mmmm......, Stealth Twin Turbo.....

Would be nice to have, but I'm quite happy with what I picked up a couple months ago..

2002 Milano Red RSX Premium with OEM body-kit and a few other accessories - leather/sunroof/fully loaded inside.

And anyone else looking at RSX's, yes the good red color is only available in Canada (US gets firepepper-red, way darker than this).

Now - to build a computer into it. And more important - to watercool the computer I build into it

thats just the base model RSX? not the Type S?

The RSX is a nice lil car, there is no denying that. if I wanted a FWD car I would get one of those. But I am an AWD man so no RSX for me

Edit: Also the Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV is fugging nice also

Up here in Canada we also have a third trim-line for the RSX - the Premium (which is what I said mine is in the above post). It's a base but with most of the options on the Type-S - eg. leather, sunroof, etc.

Ya - I'm not a big fan of FWD either, but it gets me around town and is still fun to drive. When I have a really serious need for speed I get out my bike - 2000 Honda CR250. Kinda funny you mention AWD (and not RWD) - I almost ended up with a WRX, but it was just too much money.

Twilight, Nice Stealth. They are very fast cars.
My cousin has one with the twin turbo. He has aftermarket gigantic T3 turbos on it. It has hellacious turbo lag, but when you hit boost its all you can do to try and shift the damn thing...

Haha, while everyone is posting pics of their cars... I might as well...

Mine is an SE, basically same as cova's rsx model. Everything but the fast engine

Heh, yeah, but if I had the car of my dreams it would be nothing less than a Nissan Skyline GT-R 34. It wins, hands down. I've seen (in magazines) GT-R's souped to 1000hp and still street legal with a smooth idle.

Ahhh didnt know canada had a 3rd package.

Yeh I almost bought a WRX but the 2.5RS was more attractive I think. Also is nice mix of power and price with gas and such. Also I just totaled a Dodge Stratus before I bought the RS, so my insurance company was not happy with me as is.

heheh I actually dont have any pics online of my car! They were all on my local web server which is packed up right now

Also... a 2.5RS will make a nice setup to Turbo talk about almost 300 Hp from 6PSI of boost only...

But thats a long time down the road. I just like having a fun car thats not too expensive to keep rolling. I mean it still rocks at 120+Mph rather nicely.

Hmph - boards are really slow right now, and I'm bored at work, so I'll post up another pic for ya. This is from our last car meet here in Edmonton (cars from around Alberta were here).

Edit: can't link to pics on that site directly, can't attach during an edit..., new post on the way./edit

7 RSX's, 2 Celica's, and 1 Mercedes can be seen from this pic - there were a few more cars at the meet as well, but this is the best pic IMHO. well..., except maybe the one pic that zoomed right in on my car, but you can scroll up if my car is the one you like best

There is one sub compact american car that in 2003 will hand it to everyone less maybe the EVO VII.

The Dodge Neon SRT-4.

If you run SCCA AutoX ( Solo2) I would get the fear right now. They ran a SRT-4 down in Calif at a SCCA ( debadged SRT-4) and I believe it whooped em all in its class. Sucker is going to be MEAN 2.4L turbo'd and easy as hell to get over 300 Hp ( boost controler they say).

Also it should hand it to any stock RSX/Celica on the road. It will even give a WRX a good run for its money ( and since its built on the ACR suspension geometry it will be able to out corner the WRX even).

Fear the SRT-4.

I would have bought an SRT-4 if they were out when I bought my RS. They are FWD.. but who cares when you have 220Hp in a car that light??? ( and 242 Lbs/Ft!)

also have you ever rode or drove a Neon ACR ? they are AWESOME machines.

I can tell you from experience - RSX doesn't give the WRX much (if any) competition, assuming both are stock. Things could get interesting if Honda brings the RSX-TypeR over from Japan, but in a couple years the WRX-STi will be here as well, pushing near 300 hp.

the STi.... the enigma

The rumors of teh STi coming here are pretty weak so far. Hopefully when the 2003 model year starts shipping Subaru will make an announcement.

The EVO VII will be DAMN NICE to see around. The RSX Type S isnt to shabby, but just cant get up and go like the WRX.

the RSX Type R would be nice to see.

Oh man, I feel old.

Every one of those cars you guys mentioned, I had to google...

I'm 31, but a retro 31.

Take the fast and furious for example, I loved the look of the green eclipse, and the I liked the style of the supra...but in the end, I was cheering for the '69 charger.

I think everyone knows that the charger kicks some serious ass.

I am really not much for the "show" part of the new import scene, infact it sorta makes me sick, what I do like is the performance/racing aspect.

if I get my life all squared away, besides for procooling, I am getting back into SCCA AutoX and possibly some track racing.

I hate all these stop light draggers who now think they are the hottest shit on the planet.
