1988 Ford Ranger, aka FEDCO 2-447
![]() ![]() ![]() This will be its new home ![]() Its gonna be a tight TIGHT squeeze too. The case is an Antec SX635, so it'll be fun, as I don't want any visible sign of a watercooling setup to be known. So no cutting giant holes this time.

i've been at my used core with vinegar, got some radiator protector with distilled water to try and repair eventual small leaks. still alot of crap coming out tho. think i will let it run in the bathtub with some bleech and only pump connected. |

How 'high' are you gonna make the shroud?. I have a 18x19cm fin area HC but to make a 120mm fan shroud that'd draw air throught the edges I'd have to make it about 2inches, then it would'nt fit my case!!, unless i mounted it top~inner where the PSU is @ the moment...

D'oh!
The core is just a hair too tall...its requiring me to cut out a giant hole in the bottom of the removable floppy bay... That isn't the problem...the problem is my dad has the dremel(in South America), and all I have is the jig saw... Oh well...back to work.

Considering how much of a slacker I am...I sure did get started on this quick.
Case stripped, removable HD tray and cage removed...permantly...didn't wanna do it like that but the heatercore is just a little to tall. ![]() The top and bottom were removed later to get the Jig Saw in the case to cut the required metal. ![]() Front fan grill was removed a few days after buying the case...now the rest of the area was cut out. You can see the area of the 5 1/4 bays I had to cut out in the first picture. ![]() ![]()

After all was done, I rechecked how much work I still had ahead of me.
![]() ![]() What you can't see in the picture is how close the pipes are to the back of the case...the actually are in the way of the motherboard, so i'm gonna have to cut them as much as I can. Now its all back together...I'll be getting the pump either tomorrow or next week. ![]()

Got around to making a prototype shroud out of card board...NO I WON'T USE CARDBOARD FOR THE FINAL ONE! You cardboard guys are sick you know that?
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ran into a slight problem which forced me to make this...cause I got my pump, and its not gonna work the same way I wanted it to...but it should be an easy fix.

Sheee~yite!, my rads got a cardboard shroud and it's not sick..., well it does tend to whine abit, two fans side to side seem to create a bad harmonic!!
