Default Computer shutting off

My pump keeps making my computer shut off when I lose power. Then I cant turn my computer back on again!!! The amount of time it takes to turn my computer back on is random. is that because my computer is cooling down while off or what? please help

Errr, could you pls. explain the problem and process in more detail? What are your temps? How is the pump wired to the mains (or is it 12 V DC)? What you mean 'when I lose power'?

More detail pls!

Well the power in our town comes on and off. Its a very poor town. When the power goes out I my pump or radiator and fan shut the computer off or something. I'm sure its them because they are on when the computer goes off. So I try to tuen my computer back on but it just wont come on. it does later. The fan and pump start themselfs but I still have to turn the computer on normally. So for some reason once my power goes out and my fan and pump shut off I cant get the computer back on till they start up again.

Check in your BIOS for 'power off state' under power settings, sometimes your CPU will 'wake up' after an outage by moving your mouse or using keypad, but sometimes it has to be switched back on, depending on the BIOS setting. Windows98 has problems implementing ACPI button/wake~up commands sometimes.
Try putting it on the 'on after outage' setting in the BIOS...

Default The microwave clock

I figured it out, the micro wave clock has something to do with turning it back on. When ever the microwave clock turns on I cna then turn on my computer. So to fix this computer shutting off cause of fan I simply put a battery on the microwave clock. that should have fixed it. thanks anyway guys
