Default maze 3 bad temps

hey all i just ordered wattering cooling prodcuts for myself for x-mas. I purchased a hydor L30 320gph, Maze 3 luctie top, 10 ft of clear clear flex tubbing. I bought heatercore from a local autoparts store, its 6x6x2, I also made a shroud w/ a 120mm fan pulling air through the hc. The order my setup follows is pump-> WB->HC->Res->pump.

My comp contains Asus A7m266, AMD xp 1800, 300W generic power supply, 2 sticks of pc2100 256mb, abit siluro Geforce 4 MX440, western digital 100gig HDD, 3com adsl modem and a nic. and two rear exhaust fans
my temps are 47c just surfing the net, when i started the comp and pump from a cold start the temps were 34c.yeah my room is about 80-85f and i am not sure about the case temps. I am using the asus pc probe to find out my proc temps. yes i have done a stress test w/ prime 95 for a few hrs it gets to about 51c.

I have taken the setup apart many times to check that the wb is seated properly, i have also applied AS the way the web site suggest, i even tried to apply a thicker coat of AS the the proc. I have added 1 oz of watter wetter.

thanks all any help would be appc..

You've done your homework, nice rig!

Now lap that block...

I think you'll find your water temp to be only a few degrees above ambient.

On the other hand, the A7M266 is a dual proc board... so maybe your cooling solution needs tweaking.

What's your water temp?

A good old thermometer, dipped into the water...

For a lapping guide, you can google for:
+"lapping guide"

Plenty of results!

As for the mobo, I'm guessing then that you have an Asus A7N266, and not A7M266?

AS works much better, when there's very little of it. As a guide, put a tiny dot on, then spread it as thin as you can with a razor blade. That's it.

What model fan do you have on your rad?

Ok, first, a little conversion...

82.3 Pa = 0.33 inch water column (excellent). 2.8 Cubic meter per minutes = 99 cfm (not great). Overall, that fan is good!

Is it a DC centaur mark 5 or a DC Centaur 3 blade ?

To post a pic, you can attach one (max per post), or if you have a host, click on the [img] button to specify the link to it.

Sorry about the mobo confusion, I was thinking about the A7M266-D, not A7M266.

Let us know what you want to try!

Is your block the right way up?, there's been a few 'Maze3 Bad Temps?' posts lately , do a search and look at the pics for orientation of block...
