this 4 flute mill bit was used to dig the outlets...I won't show ya the final result 'cos it's not what I wanted (I'm the slave to the symmetry and freak for the good looking pieces I can make...this was made in a hurry, so it's not to be shown )

the block is finished, but in the land of no Y splitters, one must use the crappy garden ones...They are wide spreaded, and the pvc tubing is..

after installation, a look on the fan/shroud combo...the fan is Adda silent one, 120 mm on the back, pulling, and two 92 mm in the front, pushing air (front ones without a shroud).

, the psu is HUGE and HEAVY...
I have jiucb on my epox 8K9A2 with kingmax 3200, and it's stable on 11 x 191, with voltages cranked high up...just managed to replace the nb hs with one made for duron's. I'm curious if it helps... This modded machine is with samsung 3200, I'll let you know how it performs, NP /edit I simply cannot try it now (I want to, but...) cos this thing is LOUD! She is asleep, and the apartement is small, so nothing till tomorrow....

Hehe with all these fans it was expected...
I just noticed: did U mod the NB heatsink ? At least remove the crappy thermal pad and put grease - and lap it ? The A7N8X craves for chipset active cooling. |

Heh, everything in this case (and around it ) is overwhelmed with the noise of two NMB very high rpm fans from the psu's. EVERYTHING.
No, I didn't know the nb issue, but I'll prolly try to wc it tomorrow, thanx for the info on that!!! The mobo came a few days ago, and I didn't want to hassle with it before the real owner (my bro) feast his eyes on it first... I still don't understand a few things, like the sync mode for the memory freq and other ones (bloody percentage instead of MHz...)...I didn't read the manual of the mobo, but will tonight, maybe it will shine some light on this. Also, the mobo shows the post message that cpu is on higher freq than made for, and it keep reversing to the 133 fsb after every reset....hmmmm.... I just didn't have the time to mess with it, hope I'll have some tomorrow to understand a few things....

go to amdmd.com, Asus forums - read the FAQ there.
As for the NB, try not to power up the system. You'll get the HS off easily. Notice how the thermal pad did not even make contact with the chip... And yes watercooling the NB on this mobo is a must. Allows 200+ FSB easily. For the BIOS: you must run in 'sync' mode. Or '100%' in the latest BIOS, aka 1002. Beware of the 12x - 12.5x multiplier limit of TBred. (again everything is in the FAQs of amdmb) |

He couldn't wait, so he took the rig to his place, and for now, I can tell this: rock stable 12x175 @ 1.7V core, with stock nb hs (didn't even let me redo the tim under the nb hs )
Not stable on 12x180...guess that would be solved with wblock on the nb...soon... Looks good, works good (after lot's of messing with it, this mobo was almost rma'ed, it wouldn't post and had problem with this redundant psu, wouldn't let me flash the bios, lot's of problems.... ) So, this is it, that tbredB 1700 work really nice for the price... Cheers
