Default Waterblock Choice

I know this subject has come up a lot recently but what do you think is the best waterblock out there now for the Athlon?

My personal favorite are the blocks from BE Cooling, but a lot of people rate the Danger Den Maze2 blocks.

True, but Fixittts got 30 more almost ready for shipment and soon he will have his own Mill...and a lack of sleep for the rest of the year! Pity my case is not where I can see the spiral block in action but I sure am glad I bought it (#8).

Sadly, I need the block now and can not wait until D-Tek receives them. Is there anyone else that does the acrylic top?

I'd go with the Maze2. I haven't seen a comparaision of the new Maze2 "upgrade" yet, but I doubt the spiral outperforms it by much if at all. It certainly is good for flow, but those channel walls are pretty thin. I'd think they wouldn't carry nearly as much heat away from the spreader as the Maze2. OTOH the higher flow may compensate for the thinner walls . . .

Either way the Maze2 is a solid block and you can't go wrong with it. Personally I'd wait for Spiral benches to see for sure, but if you can't wait the Maze will be fine.
