I am in the process of upgrading to a new case and was thinking of putting 1/2 barbs on my innovacool block. I know the threads in the block are not U.S. NPT but are BSPP. However, 1/4 NPT plastic barbs will work in the Innovatek with a little bit of persuasion and some silicone caulk.
However, when you look inside the innovatek, you can see that the block itself is pretty restrictive. There seems to be little point to going to 1/2 barbs if the block doesn't flow.... Has anybody had any experience with going to a 1/2 barbs with this block? Did it change anything? My present setup has 1/2 lines branching into two 3/8 circuits - one for the video card and one for the cpu. I have a supreme 350 pump. I was thinking that my new setup could be all 1/2 with the vid block and cpu block in series. However, since the innovatek seems so restrictive, I am wondering that i might stick with a two circuit setup, or perhaps go to three circuits and add a northbridge block. Random thoughts, experiences and opinions are welcomed. BTW, even though the innovatek is a very nice block, is there a better block out there? Thanks
