LOL, nothing like a post with no usefull information in it.

Like telling 911 your car is on fire and then hanging up without telling them were your at.

yeah.. yesterday the host with my portfolio site went down.. all freaking day. not only that but last night i had a potential customer hitting me up for business. and what? oh yeah, i can't show him any examples. and he wanted 6 site templates! argh. he said get ahold of him today, and hopefully my site will be back up. it is, but last night i purchased a virtual account for the site, to keep it there until i decide if i'm going virtual or dedicated for all my other stuff. i got one hosting company offering a pretty sweet deal on a dedicated box... actually 2 companies... so i'll probably go dedicated.

Yeah, after seeing iroc409's site, I don't think he's kidding anymore. Seems a bit odd to me -but meh, I'm not in the adult web business...

lol.. yeah, you caught me. most of my clients are in the adult industry. i have some mainstream clients here and there, but these guys keep me pretty busy.

i'm not a true digital pimp though. i don't own any sites, don't do the content providing. i don't have anything to do with the girls, unless it's putting them in a design. i do occasionally flip them some traffic though, that's where i get the pimp part .

it's a pretty interesting industry, and there are quite a few cool and interesting people in it. no, they're not a bunch of perverts, they're pretty normal. in fact, most people in the biz are more attracted to clothed girls than naked ones. i admit, i am as well. and these guys know how to throw a real party.. nothing else compares. and i'm not talking about the nakkid chicks . fancy hotels, huge yachts, truckloads of booze, amazing catering... you name it.

but it does give me a different, rather dismal view of women

btw, i was still able to snag that client from the other night. got lucky, i guess. he came back, we discussed, i gave him a freaking killer deal for his sites as long as i could put them in my portfolio. i easily could have charged him a few hundred extra, but i figured hey, why not? give 'em a smokin deal and they'll come back.
