Joe, i noticed you have used these mag drive pumps by Danner for some time now; i think im going to order the 250 GPH model, but was wondering what kind of connections come on the in/out ports? 3/8" ID right? so all i need it to thread coper 3/8" barbs into them to connect to the hoses right?
thanks.. |

those are 1/2" fittings on there, so you need to adapt them to what ever hose fitting you will be running

ok, sorry to be lame in this, 1/2" fittings means you would use 1/2" OD hose, w/ 3/8" Inner Diameter. right?
same for most all waterblocks etc.. so the most used hoses are 3/8" ID like what you used in your DH3 rig.. so i wouldnt have to make adapters for 1/2" fittings right? ![]() |

the pumps in DH3 are small and have 3/8" hose barbs itself so there were no converters needed. ( they are also only 150GPH per pump)
On the supreeme Mag Drive pumps its a 1/2" ID that needs to be converted to a 3/8" hose barb. The top fitting is 1/2" OD and needs to be converted to 3/8" hose barb ------------------ C-ya Joe - Owner/Editor www.ProCooling.com Where the Completely Addicted Come to Cool Off Somebody set up us the bomb. |

I would use Plumbers goop to seal the fittings, its more of a perm deal, but it will make sure its water tight.
