Default Hydrothruster tests

Well, I just hooked up the pump with the two radiators...

I got hardware and converted both the input and the output down to 3/8" barbs.

From the quick test I did, it appears that restricting the input to the pump is NOT going to work well.

It does pump water through everything but not very well. It appears that the pump is not able to get enough water into the input to work efficiently.

I think I'm going to have to use a resevoir and mate it to the pump using the full 3/4" pump input. I can see now why in the pump manual it recommended AGAINST place any kind of strictions on the input side. It said restrictions on the output side are fine tho.

Fun Fun....

That sucks man, that thing was looking so promising too. Did you try to see if it would suck at a lower GPH since you have that god like control over it with that knob . how big is your case? if you have the room try to get a big ole 8x8x8 res tank, that way you wont run it dry like you would for a 4x4x4 res tank

Case isn't built yet...I'm building one custom.

I think the resevoir will be small..something like 4x4x4...just enough to allow the pump to suck water at full volume without constricting it...no big deal really.
Just means one more thing to throw into the case.

Hmmm! Wonder if going to a full 1/2" intake on my mag drive would help it out. I'm thinking I may do a DH3 style reservior for the Beast, and I could run a 1/2" line from that to the intake.. Hmm, yeah, I'll toss that into my bag of ideas..
